Space Audition


Rhythm Game, New Arcade Game, Competitive Interaction, Sabotage Mechanics, (2023) 
Space Audition is a rhythm game that integrates competitive sabotage mechanics. Two musicians battle in outer space, aiming to outperform each other while strategically disrupting their opponent’s performance. Players should not only play in sync with the rhythm but also use obstacles—such as electromagnetic interference or meteor strikes—to hinder their competitor’s visibility. By incorporating sabotage into a rhythm game, Space Audition introduces a fresh dynamic where communication and competition coexist, shaping interactive storytelling through music and strategic disruption.
