A teaser video for a kinetic sculptures art exhibition hosted by Hyundai Motor Company to promote its modern design philosophy. Exploring motion by harmonizing geometric fragments with sound to express their philosophy and historical growth with endless breath and movements.
IDEATION & VISUAL CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
Starting from the logo, the ideation was developed around the concept:
The life of a sculpture – called a car – is started by an inspired designer.
The process draws a parallel between how a car is designed—starting from the designer’s inspiration to its final form—and a kinetic art piece gradually shaped by dot–line–form, becoming an animatic sculpture.
MOTION BRANDING
Kinetic, subtle motion, sense of minimal but sofisticated
The motions are recreated the movement of a kinetic installation, and represents the car designer's breathing eagerness.
: The pieces of geometric graphics breathe in and begin to shift as their movements are amplified.
All the movements of the lines, dots, and surfaces morph into the shape of typography "Sculpture in Motion".
STORYTELLING & TRANSLATION TO MOTION
Constant movement and change symbolize the evolution of Hyundai Motors: geometric patterns continuously amplify and deform, constantly changing, sustaining, and connecting.
